17-01-2012: Coop!

Hi there, a small update was released today for the alpha version of LBZ.

2 things changed:
1) It is now possible to add bot players to online games. (making it possible to go coop VS bots!)
2) Most moves/player actions have been taken out of the engine and are now moddible using scripts/moves.
This last feature may introduce some bugs, we’ll be testing a lot and they’ll be fixed ASAP.

27-12-2011: A Pirate and a Cop – Bojack and Birdy

Two more chars have been added:

Bojack
– 2 : DoubleTrouble (double beam)
– 2+U: JailBreaker (a small ball with proximity detonation)
– 2+D: DestructiveWave ( a lot of balls that explode in a devastating wave)
– 1+2: Gank (Bojacks minions send wires from the sky to trap the opponent)
– DRLK: SparkWave
– DLRK: Rage

Birdy
– 2 : EnergyCone (conic beam)
– 2+U: BirdBoom
– 2+D: JailMaker ( a ball that traps and damages the opponent)
– 1+2: Stringer ( catch the opponent with a net of stings)
– DRLK: FalconSpeed (rush towards opponent and slay him with mighty slashes)
– DLRK: FRY!

20-09-2011: Weird stutter fixed!!

Oh happy day, the last update caused a very strange problem on multi-core machine. This has been fixed! :)
Sometimes the game would pause for a second or two, and there were hellish stutters and performance issues.
On my single-core laptop these problem did not exist so i had to install a 3rd development environment on a multicore machine to test/fix it.
The problem was traced to a piece of optimization code that did not work as expected anymore.
