Sorry for the lack of engine (core) updates in recent months, i’ve been busy with other stuff, and it seems my PC is dying.
As i have no money for replacement on the short term it will be a while before i can start coding like a mad geek again! :)
New engine patch came out!
This is again mainly a bug-fix patch.
Fixes bugs in internal debugger and logbook and the console.
Should also run on a few system that have the capabilities but not the memory to run with all GFX enabled.
It used to crash in that situation, it should now restart into backup renderer mode!
New patch came out… now with added crashes!
There have been crash-reports comming in from recent versions…
Looks like i messed up creation of Cylinders…. any level with cylinders you play increases change of a crash…

New patch uploaded, add’s support for normal maps!
Hi all, a new update has been uploaded:
Features:
- Normal maps on levels: you can associate a normal map with a texture by saving it as mytexture.png.nmap.
- Updated level editor… lots of bugfixes and enhancements.
- Now possible to change the texture coordinates of textures in the level editor.
- Speed enhancements, new unified buffer design makes for faster rendering.
- Fixed/updated backup renderer, for when you’re FX card is not up to spec.

A new version of the alpha has been uploaded into the updater.
For this update i worked hard to remove anything that was killing performance.
A few of these updates are kinda experimental still so i am still working on the performance improvements.
In any case it should be within reach now to start working on normal mapping features.
Another new feature is that this version will make edges sharp where they need to be!
The kaoken-near-edge crash should also be fixed!
